If you are looking for quick and easy recipes to make mouth-watering burgers, here are some that will help you impress your guests. In this Pottery Barn video, Chef Joey Altman demonstrates three burger recipes including buffalo burgers with barbeque sauce, salmon burger with jalapeno tartar sauce and Portobello mushroom sandwich with smoked cheese and pepperoni.
It is easy to follow the burger recipes for making these grilled burgers. Joey chooses three different buns to be able to easily tell apart the different burgers. For making jalapeno tartar sauce for salmon sandwiches, Joey chops the roasted jalapenos into tiny pieces after peeling off the skin, cutting off the top and deseeding them. He then mixes them with chopped onions, spring onions, chopped red pepper, fresh ground pepper, a pinch of salt and dill in order to make it in to a smooth mixture.
For making spicy barbeque sauce for buffalo burgers, Joey thoroughly mixes chipotle chilies in to the barbeque sauce to give it a smoky flavor. Chipotle chilies are nothing but smoked dried and minced jalapenos.
For the mushroom sandwiches, Joey starts with roasted red pepper. He peels off its skin and chops it into very fine pieces after removing the seeds. He mixes it with some mayonnaise, salt, freshly ground pepper and minced garlic and stirs it to make a smooth mixture.
Next, Joey grills beef, salmon and mushroom. He brushes the barbequed mushrooms with salt and pepper and tops them with smoked cheese before putting them inside the buns. For making buffalo burgers, he spreads the barbeque sauce over the beef and garnishes it with roasted onions. Similarly, for salmon burgers, he spreads jalapeno tartar sauce over salmons.
